Chennai witnessed a significant surge in gold prices on Monday morning, October 21, 2024. The cost of gold increased by ₹176 per sovereign and ₹22 per gram. Following this rise, the price of one sovereign now stands at ₹58,416, while the cost per gram has reached ₹7,302.
The price hike also impacted pure gold (24K), which now costs ₹7,755 per gram. Meanwhile, silver prices remained steady, with one kilogram priced at ₹109,000 and a gram at ₹109.
